If you find your car overheating there are chances of problems with the radiator fan. Overheating is one of the most common problems of cars that many of us from time-to-time. Here are some simple steps by which you can find out the cause of your car’s overheating.

See if there are leaks in the cooling system

Search whether the radiator needs antifreeze or coolant. To find this out open the cap of the radiator and look inside the overflow bottle. If the fluid is at its desired level it will be clearly noticeable. Most of the automobiles like trucks and cars generally hold 1 to 2 gallons of water mixture and coolant. So if you need to add more fluid than this level, you should check the pressure of cooling system. May be there is a leak in the system. Also, upon noticing loss of fluid in the engine or on the ground denote leaks in the system. You should not ignore these symptoms and immediately move for treatment of leaks.

Check out the time of overheating

If you do not notice any such leaks in the coolant and the liquid level is at its proper level then you need to find out when complaints of overheating occur. You must notice whether this overheating problem of the engine occurs when it stops or it is its idle mode.
